The Big question is still yet to be answered,Will the Canadiens go far in the Playoffs? The answer could either be a yes or a no. If the Canadiens do go far in the Plyoffs it would be because Carey Price plays well, If the Canadiens powerplay starts to score, and if they get goal from the back end. So far this season the Canadiens Powerplay (Which sits 18th in the league right now) has inproved due to Andrei Markov and Matthieu Schenider who constantly pick up either Powerplay goals or assist almost every time the Canadiens play.Kovalev scored around 15-16 Powerplay goals last season, but this season it was a different story, he has only score 3 powerplay goals this season.
If the Canadiens want their powerplay to be like the 06-07 season or the 07-08 season Kovalev has to get more powerplay goals then he has right now.Even thought the Canadiens powerplay is 18th in the league, they are still doing some positive things on the powerplay like for E.X Andrei Markov leads the league in Powerplay assists.The Canadiens will also need to have not a single injury in the playoffs. I'm telling you right now if Robert Lang does not return by playoff time they will have problems offensivly. Time will only tell if the Canadiens have will host the Stanley Cup this year for the first time this decade.
