Canadiens get booed after a 3-2 O.T lose to the Islanders

After Kyle Okposo (of the Islanders) scored in O.T, the fans of the Canadiens booed the Canadiens off of the ice. This was a disappointing lose for the Canadiens against the worst-team in the NHL. "I think our team is hard to read," Gainey said. "Our guys are trying, but they're not always trying the right way. It's difficult for them when we play five, six, seven consecutive minutes and we're not able to generate anything except moving the puck out of our own zone. But our players are ready to play. They want to play, they want to do well," Montreal interim coach & General Manager Bob Gainy told the media.Mike Iggulden got the first of his NHL career and Frans Nielsen also scored for the Islanders."We've been playing really well lately," Okposo said. "I think that we're one of the hardest working teams that I've seen in the league this year and it's really paying off now."

Tomas Plekanec and Tom Kostopoulos scored for the Habs (who have won 2 of there last 3 games). Montreal goalie Carey Price played a great game for the Canadiens with 36 saves. Price came up big in the second period making 28 saves in that frame. "It seems like in the second period we give the teams a chance to grab momentum. We can't get the puck out of our sown, that's somthing we need to improve on." Saku Koivu told TSN."We were outplayed all over the ice for pretty much the whole game," Gainey said. "Our goaltender was the difference for us after the first period."The Canadiens next game will be on Saturday against the Devils.

Tuesday:V.S New York Rangers at 7:30 pm E.T
