Today, Canadiens Gm Pierre Gauthier announced that they have traded Ben Maxwell and a 4th round pick to the Thrashers for Brent Sopel and Nigel Dawes. Sopel played 54 games and had 2 goals 5 assist. Sopel will report to the Habs for Saturday nights game against the Hurricanes. Dawes will report to the minors (AHL).
