GOALIES

TOR: J. Reimer (W)

Last night in Montreal, it was a time to shine for Alex Auld as he got a rare start in goal. The Habs got off to a good start as a point shot from Hamirlik went off of Halpern and into the net to make it 1-0 Montreal. Then with the Leafs on the Powerplay, Kessel gets the puck at the top of the Right circle and rips it past Auld to tie the game. Then shortly after that, the Leafs went on another powerplay and Kessel takes the puck away from Hamirlik and does a rap around that fools Auld and the Leafs have the lead. Then 1 minute Later Leba took a shot and he scored his first goal as a Leaf and his first goal in 86 games to make it 3-1. Auld gave up 3 goals on 9 shots so he's done. As Price would come in to replace him.

Then in the Second, the Habs went onn the powerplay and Kostitsyn played the puck right to Cammalleri in the slot who riped it Past Reimer and we have a 1 goal game. Then 20 seconds  after that, the Habs still on the powerplay and Wisinewski slaps it home to tie the game. Then 8 minutes later with the Leafs on the powerplay yet again, Kessel played the puck right to Bozak who put it in to give the Leafs another lead. In the third, Bozak would add another to make it 5-3. Then with under 2 minutes to go in the game, there was a scramble for the puck in front of the Leafs net and Pacioretty would put it home to cut the lead to 1. But that's as close as they would get as the Habs spent the final minute in there own zone. So the final was 5-4 for the Leafs.

In the Loss, Auld made 6 saves on 9 shots and Proce made 17 saves on 19 shots. As for the Leafs Reimer made 31 saves and he and Kessel were the main reasons why they won. Another big story after the game was the bad call's that the ref's were making."I'm not here to criticize referees, they're human beings, they work hard, they have a hard job to do," Cammalleri said. "We all make mistakes every night so if they make 90 good calls one night and they make one bad one you can't get mad at these guys, they're trying to do a job.But the Gionta one, I think even if you asked them, if they were able to watch it, they probably would take that one back."

With that win for the Leafs, they are now just 4 points out of a playoff spot and in the Leafs past 10 games they have a record of 6-2-2."It's an exciting time of year," Reimer said. "We've got 19 games left and we're four points out, creeping closer and closer, so that's definitely doable." As for the Habs they have a record of  3-5-2. So there starting to slip. But with the acquisition of Sopel, it should help there team. The Habs next game will be Saturday against the Hurricanes.
