SUBBAN WINS IT FOR MONTREAL IN OT AGAINST THE FLAMES

(20-20-6) Calgary Flames 4-5 Montreal Canadiens (26-17-3)
                                        Final

Last night in Montreal, it was quit a game between the Habs and Flames. But only one team came out on top. That team was the Canadiens. So lets now take you back to the start of this game. Just 3 minutes in, Lars Eller opened the scoring with his 3rd of the year. Then 10 minutes in Cammalleri took a slashing penalty. Auld and the Canadiens kept the puck out of the net. Then just as the penalty ended Cammalleri reiceved a break a way pass from Halpern and Cammalleri shot the puck right upstairs to make it 2-0 after one. Then just 2 minutes into the second, Kostitsyn made it 3-0. Just 2 minutes after that Halpern made it 4-0.

That was it for Kiprusoff as he gave up 4 goals on 17 shots. So in comes Karlesson. The goalie change made Calgary regain life as Bourque scored with 7 minutes to play in the second to cut the lead to 3. But they wern't done. With 2 minutes to play in the second they cut the lead to 2 goals with a tip in by Iginla. Then just 3 minutes into the third, Kotalik would cut the lead to one. Then former Hab, Alex Tanguay would tie it up on a deke from in front of the net. So Aulds done for the night as he gave up 4 goals on 24 shots. So Price would come in. This game would need overtime.

In Overtime, Gomez came in all by himeself and waited for Subban and then played it to Subban, who would roof it pass Karlesson as the Habs picked up the 2 points. Karlesson made 11 saves on 12 shots as he gets credit for the ot loss. As for the Habs, Price got credit for the win as he stopped all 4 shots he faced. That win for Price was his league leading 23rd of the year (Price has a record of  23-15-3). After the game there was much to talk about the winning goal."I scored the goal, I did a celebration," said Subban. "I wish I had just put my stick up, but that's something I've always dreamed of -- scoring the winner in overtime.

"He scored the goal and he can do whatever he wants," said Flames winger Alex Tanguay. "I think it's a good thing. It creates excitement for the fans." Even though the Habs blew the lead I think they deserved to win. Having said that, they should have won in regulation not in overtime. But overall, both teams played a good game. Not great, but good. The Habs next game will be tonight against the Sabres.
