HABS BATTLE HARD AND GET THERE 3RD STRAIGHT WIN

(24-16-3) Montreal Canadiens 2-1 New York Rangers (25-16-3)
                                              Final

Last night in New York, the Canadiens went down 1-0 early with a goal from Dubinsky. But they never gave up. Late in the second, Spaceks shot went off the skate of  Darche and into the net to tie the game. Then half way through the third, the Canadiens would get a goal from Pouliot to make it 2-1 that would be the game winner. In the win, Auld made 25 saves."We did a good job of sticking with our game plan. That early goal, we didn't get down about it. We stayed with it and kept coming," said Auld, 4-0-2 against the Rangers." My only loss here was a Shuttout loss."

In the loss, Lundquist made 36 saves but his Ranger team couldn't find a way to put it into the back of the Montreal net. Ever since the Rangers got that early 1-0 lead they began to sit back which lead Montreal to win the game. what teams have to know about Montreal is that even if they are down there not out, just look at the game prior to this one. Montreal gave Boston there first loss after leading after 2 periods by scoring 2 late goals. It doesn't matter how far behind in the game Montreal is, they still don't give up."We had opportunities to get it out early, we didn't," Rangers coach John Tortorella said. "Then we just couldn't grab a hold of it."

The Habs next game will be tonight against the Penguins. Carey Price will get the start for Montreal.
