CANADIENS BATTLE BACK 3 TIMES BUT FALL IN OT
(21-15-6) Atlanta Thrashers 4-3 Montreal Canadiens (21-16-3)
Final Ot
Today in Montreal, the Canadiens fell behind the Thrashers 3 times and rallied back but they came up short in the end as Byfuglien scored in overtime to lead the Thrashers to a 4-3 overtime victory."I thought we played an all right game, we let them back every time we scored," said Byfuglien. "In overtime we got a power play and capitalized on it."In the loss, Plekanec, Subban and Gionta scored for the Habs and Price made 24 saves on 28 shots. As for the Thrashers, Pavolic made 47 saves on 50 shots in the win.He was the big reason why the Habs lost this game.
"Yeah a lot of shots, you know they play like that -- shooting the puck, driving to the net and trying to tip the puck," said Pavelec. "It was pretty good in our zone, it's great that we found a way to win." In the win. Kane and Peverley also scored."There's some good things to build off in this game and the game before," said Gionta. "We've got to stay positive and use those to our benefit. If you get 50 shots on net you have a pretty good chance to win." The Habs next game will be Thursday against the Penguins.
