BRUINS TO TAKE ON THE LIGHTNING IN THE CONFERENCE FINAL

series recap:

Washignton Capitals 0-4  Tampa Bay Lightning

It was another disappointing cup run for the Capitals, as they made it to round 2 but got swept by the Lightning. This will be the first time that the Lightning made it to the Eastern Conference Final since 2004 when they won the cup.

Boston Bruins 4-0 Philadelphia Flyers

The Bruins took a 3-0 series lead over the Flyers in Round 2 for the second straight season. In 2010, they went onto blow the lead and lose the series. Which lead the Flyers to knock out Montreal and advance to the cup final. They went onto lose in the final. But this 3-0 Series lead was different for the Bruins as they won Game 4, 5-1 to sweep the series and advance to the conference final for the first time since 1992.

Conference Final:

(3) Boston Bruins  vs  Tampa Bay Lightning (5)

With sweeps by both the Lightning and Bruins, both these teams will be looking no further than advancing to the cup final. I expect that this series will go to 7 games and I predict that the Lightning will win. This series will begin between Wednesday to Saturday.
