AHL Playoffs: HAMILTON BULLDOGS WIN TO ADVANCE TO THE CONFERENCE FINAL






















            Last night in Hamilton, the Canadiens minor league team (the Bulldogs) took on the Manitoba Moose in Game 7 of the North Division Final. Early in the Game, Russel got a breakaway and he was stopped by Lack. Shortly after that, Manitoba stuck first with a goal by Sergei Shirokov in front of the net. It was 1-0 after 1. Early in the second, Carle shot was stopped and Russel was denied on the rebound again. On the next play, St. Denis shot was blocked and Dawes shot was stopped by Lack on the rebound. Lack had shutout the Dogs for 108 minutes going into the third. 6 minutes into the third, Dawes came skating in and took a shot and he scored to tie the game for the Bulldogs.

          So it had to be decided in overtime. This game went to triple overtime. Just 6 second sinto the third overtime, Dustin Boyd took a shot and it was stopped but Boyd put home his own rebound to win the game for the Bulldogs! They are now on there way to the Confrence final.Drew MacIntyre made 19 saves in the victory for Hamilton. Eddie Lack made 55 saves in the loss for Manitoba. The Bulldogs as you can see in the shot totals, controlled this game. In the end the got the result they needed as they are on there way to the conference final.
