THE CANADIENS BEAT THE BRUINS 4-1 AND JUMP INTO 7TH IN THE EAST

Last night in Boston, it was the Bruins and Habs first game after the Olympic break. It was a great game. The Bruins were leading 1-0 going into the third with the goal scored by Marco Sturm. But the Canadiens never gave up as they scored 4 straight 3rd period goals by G. Metropolit , M. Lapierre M. Darche and B. Pouliot to get the 4-1 victory and jump into 7th by a point."We knew this stretch was going to be really important, and we knew we needed to start it off right," said Canadiens goalie Carey Price, who stopped 23 shots. "I think after the break everybody realizes how important the games are."

The Canadiens dominated possession and the whole game. The Bruins coach said that's because they haven't played in 2 weeks."You could tell we hadn't played in a couple of weeks," Bruins coach Claude Julien said. "Somehow, we started to fade after they scored that first goal. Going into the third period with a 1-0 lead, you never expect to see your team give up four goals." The Habs next game will be on Thursday against the Sharks.
