The Canadiens score 2 late period goals which would lead to a 4-3 victory



The L.A Kings were leading 3-2 with less than 2 minutes remaining but then the unthinkable happened Montreal forward Chris Higgins got a breakaway and shot the puck just underneath the Blocker of L.A Goalie Jonathan Quick to tie the game.Then with less than 30 seconds remaining Montreal Captain Saku Koivu scored a power-play which ended up being the game-winner. "I saw the goalie was coming out with a poke check and I got it up and over."Higgins said about his game tieing goal.Tomas Plekanec and Andrei Kostitsyn also scored for the Canadiens. Michal Handzus, Dustin Brown and Jarret Stoll scored for the L.A. Kings.

Kings defenceman Denis Gauthier get suspended after he got a 5 minute penalty for charging and game misconduct at just 3:50 of the second period for lifting his feet off of the ice and elbowing Montreal defenceman Josh Gorges in the head. Josh Jorges looked a little dazed after the hit,he was helped to the Canadiens dressing room. He came back to the game later on in the second but did not return for the 3rd period. Theirs no update on his condition right now but their should be more news tomorrow just go to www.tsn.com.Montreal goalie Carey Price made 29 saves in the victory. As for the Kings goalie Quick made 26 saves in the lose.The Canadiens next game will be tomorrow afternoon against the RED HOT BRUINS at 2:00Pm E.T on CBC and or RDS.
