KOSTITSYN GIVES MONTREAL THEIR 7th STRAIGHT WIN OVER PHOENIX WITH HIS O.T WINNER

(2-2-3) Phoenix Coyotes 2-3 Montreal Canadiens (5-2-1)
                                    Final Ot

Last night in Montreal, the Canadiens beat the Coyotes in overtime thanks to Andrei Kostitsyn's 5th goal of the season."Our line is in top shape and we feel good with each other," said Kostitsyn, who leads the team with eight points, one more than Plekanec and two more than Cammalleri. "We're making good plays and scoring goals." The Canadiens were finally able to score on the Powerplay in this game.As in the second, with the Habs in a tie game at  1-1 Mike Cammalleri scored on the powerplay to give the Habs the 2-1 lead.

Then in the third the Coyotes would tie the game on a powerplay goal from Derek Moris on a slap shot from the point. So were of to overtime. Just 1 and a half minutes into overtime, Lars Eller's point shot was blocked but the rebound went right to Kostitsyn who would put away the winner and then go flying into the air like Bobby Orr to win the game 3-2 is the final. With this win the Habs have won 4 of there past 5 games and they have won 7 straight vs the Coyotes."Last year we played with a lot of combinations but at the end of the year they put together and we did well," said Cammalleri.

"I believe that the longer you play together the more imaginative you can be offensively." In the win, Plekanec also scored and Carey Price made 27 saves on 29 shots (the shots in this game were even at 29 a piece). As for the Coyotes in the lose, Bryzgalov made 26 saves and Turries also scored."Well, you know what? It's a good rink, good fans," said Morris."They probably have the best fans in the league. They do a real good job of creating momentum for their team. Even if the team doesn't really have a good play they're always oohing and ahhing on a play that's a close play and I think that they feed off of that. The team plays really well at home and they played well tonight."

The Canadiens and Coyotes overall performance tonight was good. It was an even game. Both teams had their chances and both goaltenders stood tall. But the goalie that win (Carey Price) made one extra save and that was the difference as the Habs won in overtime. The Habs next game will be against the Islanders in Montreal at 7:30 pm E.t Wednesday on TSN-HD and RDS-HD.
