Kovalev was named the NHL’s first star of the week today, becoming the first Habs player to be the first star since Carey Price exactly one year ago today. Ever since Gainey put Tanguay, Koivu and Kovalev together they have been on fire. So don't be surprised if Koivu or Tanguay become the first star this week.The second star of the week is Chicago's Nikolai Khabibulin. The third star of the week is David Backes of the Blues.
