More News on The Canadiens V.S the Bruins Playoff series

When the Canadiens face the Bruins on Thursday in the opening round of the playoffs, you can put what happened in the regular season aside because the Playoffs are a different season. According to Broadhead of Rogers Sportsnet, he expects the Bruins to sweep the series against the Canadiens. But according to Chris Higgins of the Canadiens he says that's not likely. “People were saying the same things about them last year in the first round; that we were supposed to sweep them and all that business. Now it's the other side of the coin,” stated forward Chris Higgins.

In my opinion Montreal should win this series in 5 games as long as they get their top line of Tanguay, Koivu and Kovalev continue to score goals. The Canadiens will need Laraque and Stewart to be matched up with Lucic and Chara. But the Canadiens will also need their 2 and 3 lines to score some goals as well. When Komiserk was asked what we can expect from this series he reasponded:“A lot of bruises and a lot of bumps, it's going to be great hockey.”

Montreal is missing defenceman Andrei Markov with a knee injury. The Canadiens are also missing defencemen Francis Bouillon with a torn groin and centre Robert Lang( who is expected to be back for round 2 of the playoffs). This is going to be an intresting playoff series.
