PRICE MAKES 30 SAVES AS HE SHUTS OUT THE LEAFS

(7-9-3) Toronto Maple Leafs 0-2 Montreal Canadiens (13-6-1)
                                            Final

Last Night in Montreal, before the game the Habs and Leafs honored the death of Pat Burns by having a moment of silence before the game and putting P.B on there helmets."He was a special person and he did a lot of great things in this league for both teams," Price said. After that the game begain and it was another great night for Carey Price as he got his 4th shutout of the year in a 2-0 win  and it came against an original 6 revelry the Toronto Maple Leafs. This was the first time the Habs have shutout Toronto at home since november 12th 1976 when Ken Dryden was on the team (it was a 5-0 win).

Lets look back to period 2 of this game. In that period with the score 0-0 and the Habs shorthanded the Leafs iced the puck. The Habs won the face off right back to Spacek who fired the puck on net and it was tipped in front by Jeff Halpern thats his 5th of the year and the Habs lead 1-0. Then in the thid the Habs would add to that lead thanks to a big giveaway that went right infront of the net by former Hab Mike Komisarek and it went right to Cammalleri who fires it home to make it 2-0.

That would be your final as Carey Price got another shutout."Last year saw tremendous growth for Carey Price," said coach Jacques Martin. "He had a tough tie believing that what was happening to him was going to be good for his career.Maturity and composure have been key to his success."In the lose, the Monster made 37 saves. But it wasn't his falt that his team lost it was the fact that the Leafs couldn't beat Price and they couldn't handle the speed of the Canadiens.

As in this game the Habs were skating circles around the Leafs. But what are you going to do. The main reason why the Leafs lost was that Komisarek looked like he thought he was still on the Habs as he gave a nice pass right to Cammalleri who put it in. It seemed like the Leafs gave up hope after that one."It was a tough play," said Komisarek. "You try to hit the guy in the middle and it passed between two guys.It was the right play. I just have to execute it better."Overall it was an even game but the team that was able to score won.
