GIONTA AND PRICE LEAD THE CANADIENS TO A VICTORY

(9-13-3) Buffalo Sabres 1-3 Montreal Canadiens (15-8-1)
                                      Final

Last Night In Montreal, the Habs took the lead and never looked back as they won 3-1. Andrei Kostitsyn opened the scoreing for Montreal in the first on a powerplay. Then in the second Gionta had 2 goals to make it 3-0. With 1 and a half to go in the game it looked like Price was headed for his 5th shutout but Leopold's slap shot from the point beat Price to break the shutout. But that's as close as they got as the Habs won this game 3-1 is your final. "We wanted to get it for him," said Gionta. "There was a minute left, so we had a good chance get it for him, but it just didn't work out." But in the win Price was solided as he made 34 saves on 35 shots.

But how about Gionta in this game, he's been having problems all season scoring but not in this game as he had 2 goals and 1 assist."If you keep putting it on the net good things will happen," said Gionta. "I've talked about it before, we've been getting chances and eventually they were going to go in." In the lose Ryan Miller played well as he made 30 saves on 33 shots. But his team just couldn't handle the speed of the Canadiens as they were unable to get any offense until the third when the Canadiens were toying with them.

"At times we look all right out there (in the second period)," said Ruff. "(We) couldn't work things on the backside and had to adjust because shots were getting through ... we tried some different looks." The Habs next game will be December 1st against the OIlers, yes I know winter is coming, so get your boots and snow jackets ready as it's going to be a long winter.
