NHL & NHLPA TO RESUME TALKS THIS WEEK; NOT ALL THE OWNERS ARE ON THE NHLS SIDE

The NHL and NHLPA are once again ready to meet again to discuss the future CBA agreement. It is likely that the two sides will meet on Wednesday and Thursday. But the NHL may have to give into the players as not all the NHL owners are on board with Bettemans idea of cutting down player salaries. Sharks defensman Dan Boyle seems to think that only 8 owners are on Bettemans side."It doesn't make any sense to me that eight teams can control the fate of 22 other ones," Boyle said.

"When players make comments, sometimes it's directed towards 30 owners, but a lot of us feel that it's not across the board. It's a certain group of teams that are controlling 30 others." Some of the owners that are not on Bettemans side are Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson and Buffalo Sabres owner Terry Pegula. So maybe we will see NHL hockey before 2013. You just never know.
