BULLDOGS WIN 4-1 AGAINST THE MARLIES

LeBlanc scores opening goal 19:13 into the first

Earlier tonight in Hamilton, it was the first meeting of the battle of Ontario between the Hamilton Bulldogs and the Toronto Marlies. Early in the first, the Dogs came in on a two on 1, Qualier played the puck to geoffrion and he ripped a shot off the post.Late in the first, Tinordi came in on the right wing and centred it to Boyce and he backhanded a pass to LeBlanc who had an empty net and he scored to make it 1-0 Hamilton. 17 minutes into the second, Palushaj centred the puck to Dumont and he was stopped but Holland was there to put home the rebound to make it 2-0.

4 minutes into the third, with Hamilton on a powerplay, Holland centred the puck for Palushaj and he scored!  6 minutes later, the Marlies would get on the board with a goal from Gardiner. But with less than two minutes to play, LeBlanc scored an empty net goal to make it 4-1 and that would be the final. The Bulldogs are 2-0 to start the season. In the win, Mayer made 39 saves. In the loss Scrivins made 26 saves. So as you can tell, the Bulldogs won this game based on decent offense and excellent goaltending. These two teams will battle it out again tomorrow night at 7:08 Pm E.t (Offical puck drop) on TSN Radio 990 & on Rogers Sportsnet.
