Habs extend losing streak to 2 games

Jeff Carter and Scottie Upshall scored for the Flyers and Martin Biron made 24 saves that lead to a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on tonight. Alex Tanguay scored his 8th goal of the season to put the Canadiens within 1 goal that's as close as the Canadiens got. The Canadiens record went from 9-2-2 to 9-4-2.

Montreal gave goalie Carey Price the night off to rest for tomorrow's night game in St-Louis against the Blues. Jaroslav Halak got the start in goal tonight for the Canadiens and played a great game, making 29 saves in the lose.

There's no doubt that the Canadiens defense has been struggling the past 5 games giving up 20 goals in that strand. But tonight it was the offence that failed to put anything in the back of the net through 2 periods before making a charge in the 3rd that came up short.

The Canadiens will look to snap there 2 game winless streak tomorrow in St-Louis.
