Habs complete yet another comeback



Montreal took a 1-0 lead 2 minutes in the first period when Kovalev scored from Plekanec's pass in the slot.

New York tied it 2 minutes later on a power play when Streit scored from the blue line slapshot that beat Price.

After playing terrible in the first 40 minutes, the Canadiens were down 4-1 but not ready to give up just yet. They rallyed for four goals in the third period to complete yet another comeback with a 5-4 win against the New York Islanders tonight at the Nassau Coliseum.

Alex Kovalev scored the game winning goal with less than five minutes remaining in the third giving the Canadiens a third straight win.Kovalev finished off a great night he scored 2 goals and had 2 assists.

Carey Price made 27 saves in the win.Tomas Plekanec got 2 goals and 2 asisst tonight.

The Islanders have not won a game in six games since a 4-3 overtime victory at Tampa Bay on Oct. 16. Danis, who played at one time with the Canadiens stopped 27 shots.

The Habs next game will be on next friday against Columbus.
