Last night in New Jersey, it was Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals. LA was 9-0 on the road going into last nights game. 10 minutes into the first, Doughty took the puck from his own end all the way into the Devils end and fired a shot past Brodeur to make it 1-0 Kings. The shots were 11-6 New Jersey after 1 period. The shots in the second were 9-9. 3 minutes into the third, Zidlickys point shot was tipped in by Carter to tie the game. The shots in the third were 11-3 LA. 13 minutes into overtime, Carter got the puck along the boards and took it to the slot and fired a shot past Brodeur to win the game for the Kings. LA leads the series 2-0."It's a huge one," Carter said of the goal. "It's a big one for the team ... It gets us where we wanted to be coming in here."

In the loss, Brodeur made 30 saves. In the win, Quick made 32 saves. With the win, LA now has a record of 10-0 on the road and are 2 wins away from winning their first Cup in franchise history. This win for LA puts the Devils in a spot where I don't think they can come out of, down 0-2. New Jeersy will not come back in the series unless they can find a way to do the impossible and that is to win 2 games in Los Angeles."It's tough but you can't feel sorry for yourself," said New Jersey coach Peter DeBoer. We did in the right way but came up one goal short." Game 3 will be Monday night at 8:08 pm E.t on CBC, NBC and RDS (French).
