Last night in Quebec City, the Habs took on the Lightning in attempt to end their Pre-Season on a high note. 10 minutes into the first, the Habs were shorthanded and Gionta had a breakaway and he scored five hole on Garon to make it 1-0 Habs lead. That's Gionta first goal of the Pre-season. Early in the second, Gomez would score to make it 2-0 Habs lead. Just over 1 minute later, Lecavalier would score to cut the lead in half. 5 minutes later, Eric Cole came into the Lightning zone and fired a shot top shelf past the glove of Garon to make it 3-1. Darche would make it 4-1 going into the third.

10 minutes into the third, Malone hit Campoli in the head area, it looked to me like it was a blind side hit. Campoli was alright. But I think Malone will get a few games suspension for that hit. Cammalleri would add a goal late in the third as the Habs go onto win the game 5-1. The Habs record now improved to 2-6-0 in the Pre-Season. The Canadiens will open the Regular season on Thursday in Toronto against the Leafs.
