Last night in Boston, the Bruins took on the Flyers in their Stanley Cup Champion celebration night. Could the Flyers spoil this historical night? Early in the first, Van Reimsdyk's shot (from the left side) was stopped by Thomas. Then 5 minutes later, with the Bruins on the powerplay, Marchand had a breakaway and he scored on his backhand to make it 1-0 Bruins. Then with 50 seconds to go in the first, Giroux deked his way through 4 Bruins and then scored to tie the game at 1-1. With under 10 seconds left, Mezaros took a shot and it was stopped but Voracek put home the rebound to make it 2-1 Flyers.

Bryzgalov (who made 22 saves) would shut down the Bruins from there on end, as the Flyers spoil the party with a 2-1 win. In the loss, Thomas made 27 saves."We played the Stanley Cup champions. It's not easy," said Jagr. "They're probably the best team in the NHL and we've got totally a new team. A lot of young guys. A lot of rookies. You've got to give us time." This was the first time the Flyers faced the Bruins since being sweeped by them in the 2011 Playoffs."It was a big night for Boston, but we came here with a business," Bryzgalov said. "We did not came here to celebrate with them."
