GOALIES

TOR: J. Reimer , J. Gustavsson (W)
 MTL: C. Price (L)

Last night in Montreal, the Canadiens took on the Leafs and the Habs were looking to go back to their winning ways. But before the game, Hal Gill was honored for playing 1000 games by receiving a hockey stick from Henry Richard and the Canadiens announced that Gomez will be out for 5-7 days with a lower-body injury.Onto the game now, under 2 minutes in, Gionta took a penalty for goaltending interference on Reimer as he checks Reimer in the head. Reimer would leave the game after the first period. So the Habs were shorthanded, but Eller got the puck and played it to Moen and he had a breakaway and scored blocker side on Reimer to give the Habs a 1-0 Lead. 6 minutes later, Gardners point shot was tipped in by Steckel to tie the game at 1-1.

Gustavsson started in the second, as Reimer left the game. He didn't get off to a good start as just 29 seconds in, Kostitsyn got the puck (on the left side) and fired it past the Leafs goalie to give the Habs a 2-1 lead. 30 seconds later, Gorges gave the puck away right to Kessel in the slot and he scored to tie the game at 2-2. 3 minutes later, the Leafs went on the powerplay. Liles played the puck from the left to Phaneuf and he one-timed a shot past Price to give the Leafs the lead. Then with 5 minutes left to play in the second, Cammalleri took the puck to the front of the Leafs net and was stopped by Gustavsson.  So the leafs had a 3-2 lead after 2 periods of play.

Just 1:27 into the third, Subban found Cammalleri on the left wing and Cammalleri took a slap shot and it beat Gustavsson to tie the game at 3-3. 6 minutes later, Lupuls one-timer hit the post. That was his fourth goal post that he hit in the game. Shortly after that, Phaneufs shot was stopped but Fratton was there and he was robbed by the stick of Carey Price (as shown in the video below). Then with 10 minutes to go, Gorges shot from the point was tipped in by Moen to give the Habs a 4-3 lead. 4 minutes later, the Leafs dump the puck in off the shoulder of Price and into the netting and out of play, but the puck lands back on the ice and the Leafs come around and get a tap in goal by Kulemin on an empty net to tie the game.

So a missed call leads to a tie game. The Habs thought that the play was dead but the ref didn't see that the puck went out and the Leafs were able to capitalize on it. So it goals to overtime. In overtime, Grabovski gets the puck and brings it to the net and scores. Leafs win 5-4 in overtime.Price made 22 saves in the loss and once again does not get his 100th win. This time it was due to a missed call that costs the Canadiens the game."I like a lot of things about how we played," Cammalleri said. "I think that if we play a little bit better game Monday night than we did tonight then we'll probably end up successful."

Nothing is going well right now for the Habs, they made a few mistakes on defense, like for example turning over the puck to the opposing team due to inexperience and they give up the tieing goal due to a missed call. But good news for the Habs is that, they are begging to score goals. The Habs next game will be Tuesday night against Florida in Montreal on RDS-HD.
