GIONTA GETS 2 GOALS IN HIS 500TH GAME TO GET MONTREAL A 5-3 WIN


Last night in Montreal, Gionta celebrated his 500th career game with a pair of goals(11th and 12th) to lead to a 5-3 win over the Stars. Gionta wasn't the only one making headlines. George Laraque's family in Haiti was okay. To celebrate his family being ok he got his first goal as a Montreal Canadiens and his first goal since March of 2008."It was tough getting into the game, Laraque said. whose parents are from Haiti. "What was going on there was going through my head.And to be playing against another Haitian, what are the odds of that?," He said about Stars defenceman Maxime Fortunus. " If i wanted to get a goal on any other night this would be the night.To have that happen tonight was almost a miracle," Laraque added.

Mike Cammalleri(21st) and Benoit Pouliot(7th) also scored for Montreal in the victory. As for the Stars,Toby Petersen, Steve Ott and Mike Modano scored in the loss. The Canadiens next game will be on Saturday against the Senators.
