CANADIENS COME FROM BEHIND BUT LOSE IN O.T

Last night in Montreal, the Canadiens suffered there 3rd straight loss by the score of 4-3 in overtime to the Blues due to unbelievable goaltending from Ty Conklin. The Canadiens played hard to comeback down 3-1 in the third to force overtime. But in the end, it was Conklin who made a amazing save at one end then the Blues came back down the other way and Andy McDonald went high blocker side for the winner (shown in picture above)."We knew Montreal would make a push in the third period," said Payne, whose team has won five of its last six games and ends a three-game road trip Thursday night in Ottawa. "You don't like giving up leads, but we got the two points. It got a little open there and they controlled the puck for most of the 4-on-4, but we got a great save on Markov and scored when we got a chance."

Benoit Pouliot had 2 goals (9th and 10th)and Scott Gomez had a goal (7th) in the 4-3 overtime loss. Early in the game the Canadiens were down 2-0, and Carey Price came out of his net to play the puck and got nailed by Janssan. Then Carey Price took off his gloves and caused a scrum which lead to a Montreal Power play and a goal. "I think he was trying to challenge me," said Janssen. "I couldn't stop laughing."We'll see what happens next time we play, but I think they'll have (enforcer) Georges Laraque in the lineup that time. Maybe I'll try scoring a goal on him instead."
