Earlier tonight in Ottawa, the Habs were playing there first game since clinching a playoff spot. They had Spacek back, they put Weber as a forward to give Moen a night off and they gave Price (who played 71 games this season) a night off. So Alex Auld got the start against his former team. The Habs got there offense started early with a 4 on 2 chance and Gomez (who hasn`t scored in 28 games now) was stopped by Anderson. Just a few plays later, Plekanec skated in the Sens zone and he took a shot and was stopped by Anderson. On the next play, Gomez got the puck and took a slap shot and was stopped by Anderson. Gomez can`t seem to find the back of the net as of late. So there was no score after one period.

In the second, Michalek came in and he took a shot and he was stopped by Auld. Just 5 minutes later,  Gomez dropped the puck back to the point for Wisinewski and his shot was stopped but Gionta scored on the rebound to make it 1-0. Early in the third, Buttlers shot was stopped but Spezza would put in the rebound to tie the game. Then with the Habs on the powerplay, Lee came in for Ottawa shorthanded and he was stopped by Auld (who made a total of 29 saves in this game). Then with 3 minutes to go, Buttler came in and made a nice move around the Habs defenseman and he scored to make it 2-1 Ottawa.

Then with 10 seconds to go in the period, Wisinewski played the puck cross ice to Cammalleri and he scored to tie the game at 2-2. In O.t, Kuba would score for Ottawa to win the game and end there final home game with a win. But going to Overtime lead the Habs to pick  up a point and are now 1 point closer to facing the Bruins in the playoffs. How about Scott Gomez, he has not had a goal since February 5th against the New York Rangers. "Scott is a guy that works hard," Martin Said." Were trying to get him to shoot more, than maybe he`ll have more goals." The Habs last game of the NHL Regular Season  will be Saturday night against the Leafs.
