CANADIENS SIGN SANFORD TO A 1 YEAR CONTRACT

Yesterday in Montreal, Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced that he has signed Curtis Sanford to a one year contract. Financial terms of this deal were not released due to club policy. Sanford played 19 games with the Canucks last season and he had 7 wins (1 shutout) and 8 losses. The Habs now have 4 goalies so now they will have to trade 2 or send 2 goalies to the minors.
