ELLIOTT MADE 29 SAVES FOR A 2-0 SHUTOUT WIN OVER MONTREAL


Last night in Montreal, the Senators snapped their 5 game losing streak with a 2-0 win thanks to Brian Elliott keeping them in with save after save for a total of 29 saves.“Elliott played well, he made some big saves,” Gionta said. “We had some good opportunities where we could have got back into the game but it didn’t go in.”Peter Regin and Erik Karlsson scored in the victory. As for Montreal, the Habs had no goals but Jaroslav Halak made 25 saves on 27 shots. More big news for Montreal is at 10:41 into the second when Matt Cullen's skate cut Canadiens left wing Travis Moen in the head. The Canadiens doctors said that he woulld not have to go to doctors as he will be alright. The Canadiens next game will be Wednesday against the Sabers.
