Habs snap losing drought in Shootout against the St-Louis Blues
The Montreal Canadiens avoided a 3rd straight loss tonight after being behind by a single goal with 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd period. Andrei Kostitsyn and Robert Lang scored in regulation for the Canadiens and Alex Kovalev scored in the Shootout. Carey Price made 24 saves in the shootout victory. Steve Regier scored twice for the Blues, and Legace also stopped 24 shots. The Canadiens were 0-for-10 on the power play and have scored twice on their last 36 chances. St. Louis was 1-for-9 with the man advantage.
Kostitsyn's backhand that squirted through Legace's pads tied the game at 1 with 1:55 remaining after an outlet pass from Price.He got a goal and a assist tonight to give the Canadiens a chance to win. Just 2 minutes into the 3rd Steve Regier scored his second goal of the game to give St-Louis a 2-1 lead. Robert Lang tied the game at 2 a piece with just under 5 minutes remaining in the 3rd.The Canadiens later went on to win the game 3-2 in the shootout.

Well orchestrated post on Habs Andrew.
