Earlier this afternoon in St.John's, Newfoundland, the Winnipeg Jets took on the Ottawa Senators. The Jets got off to a good start in the second, Stapletons shot was stopped by Alex Auld, but Mark Scheifele would put in the rebound, it's a powerplay goal to make it 1-0 Jets. Bodie would add a goal late in the period to make it 2-0 Jets after 2 periods. Then with the score 2-1, Ben Maxwell would get the puck in the slot and fire it past Mckenna to make it 3-1 Jets. That would be your final as the Jets win and improve their Pre-Season record to 2-3-0."It's always fun to do events like this and to get people involved that don't normally get a chance to see NHL hockey and to see their reaction to it," Winnipeg captain Andrew Ladd said.
In the win, Pavelec made 27 saves. In the loss, Auld made 26 saves on 28 shots and Mckenna made 4 saves on 5 shots for the Senators.The Jets next game will be Wednesday night against Carolina on TSN-Jets.
