The most paid player on the Montreal Canadiens is Scott Gomez. He's is being paid $ 7.4 Million for the 2009-2014 NHL seasons. He had high expectations going into Montreal. He was a former rookie of the year and a former 40 goal scorer. But that's all history now, as in the 2010-2011 NHL season, Gomez had a career low of 8 goals and 31 assist in 80 games." Lets face it, a lot of us it was a year like, 'What the ****,' " Gomez said. " I would put myself at the top of the list."
Pierre Gauthier talked about Gomez at the season ending press conference and he said, " It's our job to help players like Mr. Gomez because we know they could do better." Gomez is the most overpaid player on the Habs and he knows it and according to Don Cherry we can expect a better season for him in the 2011-2012 season. " I'm going to make a prediction. He better not let me down or you can all laugh at me. He's going to go all summer and have a dynamite year," Don Cherry Said. Will he have a "dynamite year" or will he have another bad season.
