BULLDOGS FALL TO THE CRUNCH IN MONTREAL
On November 9th, the city of Montreal witnessed their first taste of hockey since April as the Bulldogs came to town to take on the Crunch. 16 minutes into the first frame, Korobovs shot from the left wing was tipped in by Devos to make it 1-0. 2 minutes into the second, Qualier came down the right wing with speed and fired a shot over the shoulder of the goaltender to tie the game. With under a minute to play in the second, Wymans shot was stopped but Angelidis was there to put home the rebound to give the Crunch the lead.
8 minutes into the third, Palat played the puck from the slot to Johnson in front and he scored to extend the lead. Johnson would add another goal 2 minutes later as the Crunch beat the Dogs 4-1. In the loss, Mayer made 27 saves. In the win, Tokarski made 13 saves. During the game, the Bulldogs lost another player to injury, as Blake Goeffrion was sent hard into the boards by Cote and fractured his skull. He is out indefinitely.
