Last night in Montreal, the Habs took on the Flyers in search of their 3rd sraight win. 7 minutes in, Plekanec had a breakaway and he was stopped by Bobrovsky. 5 minutes later, Voracek played the puck to Talbot in the slot and he one-timed a shot into the net to make it 1-0 Flyers lead. 6 minutes later, with the Habs on the powerplay, Subbans shot was stopped, but Plekanec scored on the rebound. The third ref behind the net would wave off the goal due to goalie interference as Eric Cole was in the blue paint. 5 minutes into the second, Desharnais got the puck behind the Flyers net and moved the puck all the way to the slot and deked out the goalie and scored to tie the game at 1-1.
46 seconds later, Rinaldos shot was stopped but Zolnierczyk would score on the rebound to give the Flyers a 2-1 lead. 10 minutes later, Subbans shot was defelected right to LeBlanc and he fired a puck into the net to tie the game. That's Louis LeBlancs first NHL goal and the crowd stood on their feet to give LeBlanc a standing ovation just like they did in 2009 when LeBlanc was drafted. Simmons would score 4 minutes later to give the Flyers another lead. But with just under a minute to play, the Habs were on another powerplay, Desharnias played the puck to Pacioretty at the side of the net and he played it to Cole in the slot and it defelected off Cole and into the net to tie the game at 3-3.
12 minutes into the third, Meszaros point shot beat Carey Price to give the Flyers yet another lead it's now 4-3. Then with under a minute to play, the net was empty for the Canadiens, but they couldn't get anything done. They ended up iceing the puck with 7 seconds to go. So Price had to come back to his net and that's how the story will end. The Habs fall 4-3 to the Flyers on home ice. In the lose, Price made 21 saves. In the win, Bobrovsky made 28 saves. But even though the Habs lost their was still some talk about LeBlancs first NHL goal." It was big for me to get that goal. Now I got it in the bag and I will hope for more," Said LeBlanc. When LeBlanc was asked which was louder the draft ovation or this one. He said: "The ovation here tonight was louder and longer."
