HABS RE-SIGN MARKOV TO A 3-YEAR-DEAL

              Today in Montreal, the Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier announced that he has signed Markov to a 3 year contract. Each season in his 3 year contract Markov will make $5.75 million.“We are very pleased that Andrei has made the decision to pursue his career with the Montreal Canadiens. A player drafted and developed by our organization, Andrei brings a high level of talent and leadership to our team. We look forward to having him back in our lineup for the start of the upcoming season,” said Canadiens general manager Pierre Gauthier. Markov only played 7 games last season due to a knee injury and he had 1 goal and 2 assists.
