(12-5-2) Philadelphia Flyers 0-3 Montreal Canadiens (12-5-1)
Final
Last night in Montreal, The Habs fans were on their feet at the Bell Centre due to a 41 save shutout performance by Price. This was the first time the Canadiens and Flyers have met since the Flyers knocked out Montreal in the conference final in 5 games. The Habs showed that they can beat them. As the Canadiens rolled to a 3-0 win.It all started back in the first period when the Habs went on the powerplay.
Gionta's centering pass went right to Cammalleri who smacks it home to make it 1-0 after one period. Then in the second, it was a one on one chance for Plekanec and he took a shot that beat Bobrosky to make it 2-0. Then in the third the Habs would seal the deal with another powerplay goal from captain Gionta to make it 3-0. That is your final. Through those 3 periods the Flyers fired shot after shot on Carey Price but he made the saves on the rest of the team got the goals.
"We had a lot of quality chances in the first two periods and we couldn't find a goal," said Flyers coach Peter Laviolette. "Their goalie played pretty well and the frustration showed in the third period."We didn't play the same way." In the lose, Bobrosky made 25 saves on 28 shots."We know if we make a mistake he'll help us out by making that big save and then we just have to look after the little things in front of the net," defenceman Jaroslav Spacek said of Price. The Habs next game will be Thursday against the Predators.
