AULD GETS A RARE START IN NET AND HE COMES OUT ON THE LOSING END

(14-8-1)  Montreal Canadiens 0-3 Atlanta Thrashers (11-9-3)
                                              Final

Last night in Atlanta, the Habs had nothing go for them. They couldn't get any pucks to the aposing teams net, they couldn't block shots and the list goes on and on as they lose 3-0 to the Thrashers (who have won 4 staright). Late in the first Atlanta got on the board, with a goal from Peverly from a bad angle to make it 1-0. Then 10 minutes into the second Enstrom took a simple shot from the point and it found it's way past Auld to make it 2-0. Then shortly after that Peverly scored another goal to make it 3-0 and that's your final.

"The first one (goal) was a broken play. The puck just kept bouncing. It was a lucky bounce, it found the hole," Peverley said. "The second one, I just shot it, and it went in." In the lose Auld made 44 saves. As for the Thrashers, Pavolec made 25 saves for his second shutout of the season."They're definitely on a roll. Their goalie's making saves. They're getting getting contributions from everyone. They're a solid team on the rise," Auld said. The Habs next game will be tonight against the Sabres. Price will get the start for Montreal.
