Today the Canadiens announced that they have called up Yannick Weber from the AHL. With Andrei Markov being out with a torn tendon in his ankle, the Canadiens will put Weber in the lineup to help the defense of the Canadiens. Weber played 3 regular season games with Montreal last season and had 1 assist. He also played 3 playoff games and had 1 goal and an assist in that streak.
