Last night in Montreal, bitter rivals, the Boston Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens took the ice. There was no score after 1 period but Montreal was dominating. They had a few rushes from the side boards and a couple of breakaways from Eller and Plekanec but they were all turned away by Rask as he stopped 11shots in the first. Then 11 minutes into the second with the Habs on a powerplay, Markov played the puck to Subban and he ripped a rocket past Rask to make it 1-0. That was the score after 2. In the third the Bruins came out looking for nothing less than a win.

14 seconds into the final frame, Krejci centred the puck to Seguin and he backhanded a shot past Price to tie the game. 2 minutes later,Lucic came up the left wing and he centred the puck to Krejci and he scored to give Boston the lead.  The Bruins dominated the first half of the third as the Canadiens couldn't get the puck. Towards the end of the period Cole centred the puck to Desharnais and he tipped the puck between the legs of Rask and past the post. Thats as close as the Habs would get as they fall to the Bruins 2-1 is the final.

"We played well in the first period, but starting in the second we kind of backed up," said defenseman Andrei Markov, who picked up his ninth point in nine games. "We stopped playing our game."
