Marc Bergevin named Habs GM
This morning in Montreal, Habs owner Geoff Molson announced that Marc Bergevin will take on the reins as the Habs new GM. Bergevin was drafted by the Blackhawks in 1983. He played 20 seasons in the NHL as a defenseman and he had 181 points (36 goals, 145 assists) in 1,191 Regular Season games with Chicago, the New York Islanders , Hartford Whalers,Tampa Bay Lightning,Detroit Red Wings , St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins and Vancouver Canucks. Bergevin went from assistant coach to an assistant GM last season in Chiacago and now he is Montreals 17th GM in franchise History.
