The Molson Cup is awarded to Carey Price of the Montreal Canadiens
This afternoon, Montreal goaltender Carey Price was named the the Molson Cup Player of the Year for the 2008-09 season. Price played in 52 regular season games this season. He achieved a record of 23 wins, 16 losses and 10 overtime/shootout loses and just got 1 shutout and has a 2.82 goals-against-average and a save percentage of .905%. Carey Price also took part in the 2009 NHL all-star game in Montreal. For the second straight season a Montreal Canadiens player has won the Molson Cup. Last season It was forward Alex Kovalev of Montreal. Now this season it was Goaltender Carey Price of Montreal.
