HABS EXTEND PACIORETTYS CONTRACT BY 6 YEAR CONTRACT
August 13th in Montreal was the day that Max Pacioretty signed 6 year extension worth $27 Million. In March 2011, Pacioretty was sent head first into the turn buckle by Bruins defenseman Zidano Chara and was out with a injured vertebrae. Nobody knew if Pacioretty would ever return to the NHL. But the next season he made an unbelievable recovery and he was back and was better than ever. In 79 games, he had 33 goals and 32 assists. Now will be in Montreal for a long time in search of the Canadiens 25th Stanley cup.

HABS SIGN PRICE TO A 6 YEAR CONTRACT
Today in Montreal, Canadiens GM Marc Bergivan announced that he had re-signed Goalie Carey Price to a 6-Year $39 million dollar contract."It kind of made sense to me," Price said."It will take me to until I'm 30 years old and generally that's about the peak of goaltenders, so I'm hoping by then to have a couple of Stanley Cups and have a good re-negotiation when I'm 30." Some fans and reporters have said that due to the amount that Prices is making he will have tremendous pressure on him."There's a tremendous amount of pressure on us no matter what you're making, so it might make you a target a little more," he said." But being a goaltender, I'm used to that anyway."In 5 seasons with the Montreal Canadiens, Price has a Regular Season record of 124-104-35 with 16 shutouts. In the Playoffs, Price has a record of 8-15-0 with 3 shutouts.

HABS SIGN BOUILLION, PRUST & ARMSTRONG
On July 1st 2012, the Habs made 3 big signings. First they brought back Francis Bouillon for $1.5 Million for 1 year. Then next it was Brandon Prust, a big hitting tough forward, for 4 years with a price tag of $10 million. The last signing was a forward who was just bought out of Toronto, Colby Armstrong for a 1 year $1 million dollar contract. These signings are the start of what will be a big tough Montreal Canadiens team in the 2012-13 season.
OTHER SIGNINGS: Travis Moen (4-Year-$7.5 Million), Alexi Emelin (2-Year-$4 Million) & Ryan White (1-Year-$687,500)
